Very Interesting Comment Thread Over at First Word

The original post is titled The Ten Greatest Heroes of American History, which is very good on its own, but the comment thread is even more interesting, especially the responses to a commenter called Keith.

As of right now, he still has yet to document a stitch of his outrageous claims concerning the great N.B. Forrest. If General Forrest were here today, that boy would be in for a thumpin'.

You noticed that, too?

Funny how "facts" can evaporate into thin air once the source has been requested.

I am sure General Forrest would have "put the skeer on" that boy.

God bless,
Laurel

Well I somehow doubt that if the late General were with us today that the boy's fingers would type with such haste. Judging only from what I've read, Keith doesn't seem to be the type to openly challenge a man's honor when there's so much as a shadow of a chance of physical confrontation; especially a man of N.B. Forrest's reputation.

The boy seems like a typical youth of today. Call someone a name, then run when the offended person reacts.

I do think the blog hosts handled the situation very well. Clean, coherent, and without rancor, yet the miscreant was put exactly in his place.

God bless,
Laurel
