Where to Stay on Business? Anywhere but a Sheraton.

Caving in to craven racial politics in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Sheraton Hotel canceled its contract with the American Renaissance organization for its yearly convention, leaving speakers and attendees up a creek. Fortunately, some free speech partisans managed to hold a smaller conference, venue unnamed, now called the American Dark Ages Conference.

This kowtowing to special interests did not end with the canceling of the 2011 AmRen Conference. Oh, no!

In Minneapolis this April at the Sheraton Bloomington a conference called “White Privilege” will be held, run by a Left-wing professor from the University of Colorado named Abby Farber.

Guess “White Privilege” does not include free speech, or the right to rent a facility to discuss serious issues in a refined and intellectual manner.

I have stayed at Sheraton hotels many times; I will no longer stay at any Sheraton world-wide, nor will I recommend their facilities to business travelers I know.

It's been a while since I've written much of anything, here or elsewhere. Life has been piling on the challenges and I'd been doing the swan thing, looking all calm and graceful above the water (at least I hope so), but paddling like crazy underneath. Needless to say, stress has been the name of the game lately. So taking a good walk seemed like a good idea a few weeks go at the height of the hassle. I pulled on my walking shoes and headed out the door under the early morning overcast.

Now, some of you might know that I enjoy a good garage sale. I won't say as I go out every week and chase down all the bargains people put out there, but if there's a sale along one of my pathways I will usually drop by and poke around a bit. Might even buy something every once in a while. So when I saw the yard festooned with stuff I might be interested in about halfway through my walk I made a mental note to stop on by on the way home.

I've written several times in the past about the changes in our neighborhood. Fewer and fewer of us, more and more of them. It gets to feeling a mite lonely sometime. But this block was still majority White, and I'd waved to the young woman and her mother a few times as I strolled past. Nice folks, very pleasant. Had a dog, too, a sweet middle-aged Weimaraner with a smooth grey coat and intelligent eyes. She always trotted up to me and sniffed my hand, then rewarded me with a friendly lick or two before going back to her assigned spot in the yard. I like this dog. There should be more like her. Short coat, easy care, no jowl dribbles like the English Setter on the next block. Good dog.

So when I saw the sale in their yard, I thought it a nice time for a shop-and-chat. But when I finished the exercise portion of my walk and moseyed on back to the sale, I was surprised to see the dog held quite literally on a short leash, at attention next to the younger woman, her owner. In the yard, inspecting this that and the other were three Mexican gardeners, each wearing a safety vest with bright stripes. Now, I speak some Spanish and will verify that their conversation was limited to the virtues or price of some bit of kitchen equipment or tool. Nothing threatening about it. But try telling that to the dog, who strained at the leash and seem inclined to run at them and make them feel somewhat less than welcome.

I greeted the young lady, and we chatted briefly about the reason for the sale. It would seem they were moving out of state and were cleaning out the house, which was why the sale was as good as it was. I wandered up close to the dog, who seemed not to notice me, but still pulled on the leash towards the men. "It's the stripes on the vests," the girl said. "She doesn't like unusual things." Well, I was wearing my pink and purple jog suit, and if that isn't unusual I don't know what is. But the dog paid no attention to me.

So I poked around a bit and found a spurtle I could use. For the uninitiated, a spurtle is a spoon with a hole in it, great for stirring soups and oatmeal and the like. I'd been looking for one for a while, and the 25 cent price was right smack in the middle of my budget range. The gardeners bought a few small items and then proceeded to their truck, put the items in the back with the rakes and lawn mower, then drove off. I took out my quarter and gave it to the mom.

As we were chatting, the dog relaxed and curled up behind her owner, who said, "See! She's fine now. I guess she just doesn't like the stripes on those vests."

The mom laughed a low laugh, and said, "Honey, I just don't think the dog likes Mexicans."

I smiled and thought that might be true. The daughter tossed her beige blond hair and quite literally hissed at her mother. "Mama, there are some things you just don't shout out in public!" She looked carefully up and down the street.

Both I and her mom smiled the same tight little smile. Neither of us said a word, but I did look twice around me as I made my way home. Sometimes dogs see things we don't.

The speaker herself looked like a train wreck in a DNA yard; almond eyes, coffee-colored skin, straight dark hair, and thick lips. Lord knows how many members of how many different races had taken a shine to each other in order to create this uneasy amalgam of racially distinct features. But I knew she didn't like the way she looked very much, because she was quite outspoken about letting you know. Still, when the topic of her sister came up, the wound that had wrapped itself around her identity opened afresh, and a harsh flow of partially coagulated bile poured out.

"She's White," she spit out again, as if it was a curse, or something to be jealous of, or some undecipherable combination of the two. "And she has blue eyes."

I couldn't speak for a moment, my own physical identity surging up in my awareness. Pale skin, blue eyes. That's me. The force of the child's hatred had hit me like a wall. Cringing only a little bit, I gathered my wits around me to respond.

"I have white skin and blue eyes, Jenna."

No response. A clouding of the face, perhaps, but no response.

One more try, I thought.

"Only a big sister would say that with such venom, Jenna."

The cloud thickened, and she spoke. In her voice, the tone of pure betrayal, the tone of pure envy merged.

"She's White!"

Van Jones gets one thing right in this video. Many young White Men lack strong, loving male leadership. Of course, he won't say it, but they need strong, loving WHITE male leadership. I pray that many of my readers are already stepping up to the plate to provide this.

The rest of this speech is full of garbage. The thing about the black kid shooting another black is actually pretty funny. Supposedly he doesn't shoot up the whole school like a White male would, he just shoots one person. This goes against any objective analysis that looks at longitudinal, rather than situational, data. Repeat offenders can take out as many as a Columbine style event, and there are plenty of repeat offenders in the Black community.

For that matter, why are they shooting anybody at all?

The trinket makers have a new souvenir for tourists. It appears to be a plaque with a low quality copy of the mask of King Tut at the top, some hieroglyphics at the bottom, and a message, in English, written across the center.

Well, is that all he is? Is Obama really like Pharaoh Tutankhamen? For goodness' sake, why would he want to be? Air Force One Over the Statue of Liberty

It is a lovely thing, a Boeing 747; and a powerful one. Its crisp blue and white contours dominate the sky. The American flag on its tail and the words "United States of America" define this bird as Air Force One, symbol of the imperial Presidency.

It was a terrific photo op, or should have been had it not struck fear into the hearts of 9/11-shocked New Yorkers, long unused to the close approach of 747s.

The photograph, now made public, shows Air Force One in its ultra-clean glory filling the sky over the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor. The plane seems unnaturally large, as if it is the Presidency itself writ large, Caesar rather than Christ. Power over Liberty, quite literally, as the Statue below seems a insignificant splotch of green barely visible at the bottom of an unnatural, constricted perspective.

The photograph shows something uncomfortably close to the truth, and the events surrounding it something more. For as Liberty recedes, and the Presidency grows in power and arrogance, the people run screaming from the scene, in terror for their lives.

As well they should.

From the increasing number of news articles floating across the interenet on the subject of legalizing drugs, especially marijuana, I've developed a theory.

It appears to me that the current administration is likely to legalize marijuana and ramp down the current "war on drugs." Why? Well, again, I'm no seer, but it might look like this to them: 1) It would mean they could tax the stuff the way they tax tobacco; 2) a heavy tax on the substance would mean that the huge budget spending they plan would have another source of funding rather than the beleaguered taxpayer; 3) drugs are still, sadly, popular with youth and older folks with little or no maturity, so there's a market; 4) the drug cartels, which some decry and others might have investments in, would become a non-problem, a source of revenue, and accepted businessmen; 5) money being spent on the "war on drugs" could be redirected to other places; 6) violence in Mexico would be reduced because the cartels could just focus on creating a new business model; 7) US prison population with non-violent, drug-related sentences could be released, reducing costs, and 8) the populace mentioned in #3 above would be doped up and easy to manipulate.

Again, this is only a theory, based on the increasing number of articles I've seen in the mainstream media lately. But I am sure some people might find it attractive for all of the reasons mentioned above.

My opinion on it? The Bible condemns intoxication/drunkenness, and links it to the loss of all good things for a nation. See Joel 1 for a good description. And don't discount #8 above.

This video is quite remarkable for the sheer force and conviction of the speaker's indictment of Gordon Brown's failure to save the British economy. I predict Daniel Hannan, Member of the European Parliament, will be the man to watch in Europe during the upcoming months.

That being said, watching speeches as I have of late, it would seem to me that Barack Obama was elected on the basis of his sonorous voice (on top of the layers of nice sounding BS he delivered in his speeches), whereas Ron Paul, who had oodles of real content in his speeches, was ignored on the basis of his voice, which can be squeaky when he feels passionately about an issue. Has anyone else noticed this? Regarding Daniel Hannan's voice, this European politician's delivery is crisp, clean, and delivered with impeccable diction.

Is that really it? Do we elect presidents on the basis of their voices?

The language of the bill is general enough that it could apply to your local organic farmer or your own backyard garden. While I have issues regarding unions (including the teachers' unions), this video struck a chord in me as I watched British workers claiming they were discriminated against in favor of foreign workers, and being willing to walk out on strike in the snow. It also annoyed me to hear the upper-class patter that there is no discrimination against British workers. One might be inclined to start outsourcing Member of Parliament positions so that they might know what it is like.

We need to support our Border Patrol, not undercut them. The convictions of these two Border Patrol agents for shooting a drug runner (who has run drugs since that time, btw) were a travesty of justice.

The drug war within Mexico is out of control. In fact, Mexico and Pakistan are considered the two States with the highest likelihood of collapsing in 2009.

We need to be addressing more of our resources to keeping the Mexican drug war away from our borders. We can't afford a collapsed State next door.

I wrote this poem a couple of years ago. It enjoyed some minor exposure around the internet, but the site that housed it is no more. So I decided to post it here, where it will have more of a permanent home.

The Last White Man

The shadows loom long of an evening
Blue-tinged with twilight’s deep shade
The glory of sunset is fading
Gold fingers of light flick the glade.

Black crows to their shelter go soaring
Their noisy croaks piercing the sky
In the glade a white man is waiting
For the last crystal sunbeam to die.

He has not a brother to talk to
Or sister to stand by his side
There never were many, indeed, just a few–
Those few, save for him, now have died.

He raises his hand to the sunset,
A futile salute indeed
From one dying thing to another, regret;
To the dark, all that’s light must recede.

Deep voices sound out of the bushes
The hunters come seeking their prey.
Choking and clutching, night pushes
Beneath the horizon the day.

The shadows loom long of a dawning
Gold-tinged with the coming of day
Black crows to their feast, beaks a-yawning,
Peck the last of the pale flesh away.

A sentiment I echo.

We should love our children in a healthy, family-oriented way. People of European descent should cherish the opportunity to create families who honor their heritage. Knowing that childhood is but a moment, but that everything we say and do within that moment is held in the child's heart forever, we should strive to convey the depth of our love and devotion to our children's ultimate good.

We should love our own enough to truly love our own kind.

Perhaps I am overstepping my bounds here; but it seems to me that it is healthy for society as a whole for the more intelligent Christian women, the ones who would make the best home educators and produce intelligent, well-behaved (as far as sinners can be well-behaved), and thoroughly Christian children, to have the largest families.

I realize I am throwing sand into the wind here, and some of it is bound to fly back into my face. I mean no insult to Christian women of average or lower than average intelligence, we will all be present in the Lord one day. We can all, by following the Bible's leading, produce well-behaved, thoroughly Christian children. However, to build a working Christian society we need as many intelligent, well-behaved, thoroughly Christian people as we can produce.

Feminism has influenced the options held out to young Christian women of high intelligence. In a Christian school that I am particularly familiar with the career of wife and mother was never once held out as an option for the girls, especially those who maintained straight A's and scored highly on standardized tests. The array of colleges and careers was paraded in front of them as if that was all there was for them to consider. And consider them they did; following through even unto grad school.

But then what? Do these young ladies enjoy a plethora of marriage offers or a plethora of job offers? The latter, I am afraid. But that's good, some of you are saying. They may have to contribute to their family's support one day; they may need the intellectual stimulation of a career; the economy is going to the dogs (no insult to canines intended); divorce is endemic, even in the Christian community, so they must be prepared for self-support.

And that's it. The same old arguments that imply that Christians must adhere to the standards that others, in this case, feminists, hold up. Seldom does one see encouragement to build society in the most foundational of ways. Even the available young men act as if these girls are Vestal Virgins; untouchable for three periods of ten years each, ten as student, ten in service, then ten as teachers. In Roman tradition, after that the Vestal Virgins could marry.

But thirty years down the road, when careers are fully developed and a woman might be willing to be married, her body may not be willing to give her even one of the desired children.

So what is the alternative? Does the intelligent Christian girl swear off family life for the feminist virgin model?

I say no to the dedication of these girls to a lifetime of sacrifice to the model of this world. At some point Christians must realize that they cut off the life of their own community when they keep fine young women from considering marriage and family as a primary occupation. The management of the household and the education of its children are a challenging field and must be addressed within Christian education, both in homeschools and Christian schools. And our brain trust children, male and female, should be introduced to each other and encouraged at least to get to know each other. With God's good grace and providence, love could take hold, marriages take place, and God's Kingdom on earth be promoted.

After all, we pray "Thy Kingdom come"; let us act in concert with our prayer.

Now let me get this straight here...

I wonder if a shopkeeper would get in trouble here if he put up a sign in Spanish to warn aspiring thieves that all expensive items were locked up safely each night? Would the PC police come and take them to task for not having the sign in English as well? Even if all the thieves who'd broken in previously had been unable to speak English?

Here's one of those "strange maps". It shows the distribution of light-haired people in Europe. But even in my own mother's family, as Swedish as Swedish gets, out of the many siblings there was an even 50/50 split between blondes and those with light to medium brown hair. Sigh. Unfortunately, Mom got the darker hair, and passed it on.

Openly promoting this idea, the site, hosted on a taxpayer-funded university web server, contains a fascinating series of maps and essays called "Evolution of El Norte" that shows the anticipated progression from the indigenous land of 1000 A.D to a projected "Republica del Norte" in 2080 A.D. That last map is inconspicuously linked off the 2050 A.D. map, not off the Evolution of El Norte page. Guess they don't want to scare folks.

A Place to Visit, a Place to Learn

Friends. At least, I hope you are my friends if you stop by here and listen to my little vents and insights on a regular basis.

It is time for a change of venue for me and my written work. I plan on maintaining Natural Consequences on a somewhat less frequent basis, and focusing my writing efforts at Kinism.net, where a group of us are publishing who share a common belief that being a White Christian is a blessing from God rather than something to be ashamed of.

I would like to invite sincere seekers to come visit us there and find out what Kinism is and can become. There is much in the way of misinformation out there about what Kinists believe, and the site is part of an effort to correct such drivel.
